Diese Richtlinie gilt für das Prüfen von Schweißverbindungen mit einer maximalen Wanddicke von 30 mm an Bauteilen, Rohrleitungen, Apparaten und Behältern sowie Dichtungsbahnen und Verbundkonstruktionen aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen. Die Prüfung dient zur Auffindung von durchgehenden Poren bzw. Rissen. Die Prüfung mit elektrischer Hochspannung ersetzt keine Dichtheitsprüfung nach Richtlinie DVS 2206-2 bzw. Richtlinie DVS 2225-2 und auch keine Beurteilung nach Richtlinie DVS 2202.
Diese Richtlinie ist nicht für elektrisch ableitfähige und leitfähige Kunststoffe anwendbar.
