Product information
This technical code provides users of hot gas continuous welding with guidance on the welding process, machinery and equipment, tools, material-related influences, quality requirements, and quality assurance.
The term “hot gas welding” is used as a generic term for all welding processes that employ heating by means of convection. “Hot gas continuous welding” is distinguished from manual welding processes by its use as an automatic or semi-automatic continuous welding process. It is a two-stage welding process with non-contact heating of the joint areas.
In industry, the following process designations are often used synonymously for hot gas continuous welding: “hot gas welding”, “heated gas welding”, “hot air welding”, and, less frequently, “warm air welding”.
